Product Description
Ape Escape? Sounds like a 1950's horror, doesn't it? Ape Escape is one of the most innovative titles created for the PlayStation. The storyline on the other hand, is not. In a nutshell, some apes managed to get hold of a helmet that makes the bearer more intelligent. Using their advantage, they decided to abuse their abilities to travel back in time using the Professor's time station, and change the world forever. It's up to you, Spike, to go after them and save all humanity. Ape Escape's originality is primarily uncovered in its unique control methods. Most of Ape Escape is controlled through the use of Sony's analogue capabilities. Using both sticks, one controls movement, and for the first time, the other controls attacking techniques. Also, the L3 and R3 buttons can be used for ducking and crawling. This unique control method is surprisingly easy to get to grips with, and once you have got used to them, you won't want to look back. There are a huge number of levels in which you must catch a specific number of apes in order to progress. The further you progress, the more weapons you are given, increasing the challenge accordingly.
